LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Dear Sir,

SCOTTISH TELEVISION

I look forward to the new digital television channel proposed by the Scottish Broadcasting Commission to showcase Scottish programmes. It will be nice to once again have the opportunity to view culturally iconic programmes like The White Heather Club, Dotaman and Weir's Way.

However, I fear endless repeats of more modern programmes like Balamory which, despite the excellent portrayal of Miss Hoolie by Julie Wilson Nimmo, is not really reflective of Scotland of today due to an over eager political correctness mandating a homosexual policeman and inappropriately multi-racial cast.

Sincerely,

John Eoin Douglas
