LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Dear Sir,

Yesterday's considerable disruption of Central Edinburgh caused by the police's total closure of North Bridge and Market Street in reaction to a man clambering onto the bridge parapet was totally unjustified.

As such misuse of the bridge seems to be becoming a regular feature of city life, this typical police overreaction can only lead to further selfish and distasteful shouts of "jump" from inconvenienced passers-by who believe that encouraging the unfortunate individual concerned to take this "final step" will bring an end to the incident and allow them to continue their journeys with less delay.

Sincerely,

John Eoin Douglas

  2. Thank you for your kind words.

But probably not because of the Intellectual Property Rights issues involved.
