Dear Sir,
BUS PASS
My uncle, who lost his leg in Korea, was recently persuaded to apply for his free bus pass.
Imagine his surprise when, after a night out with friends in the centre of the city, he went to get a night bus home only to discover that his pass wasn't valid. Unfortunately, he had spent all his money on the last round of drinks, couldn't pay the fare and had to walk 5 miles home.
What a way to treat a war hero!
