LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Dear Sir,

I note Elaine Wilson's whinge in today's Evening News at being asked by Lothian Buses to pay for the carriage of one of her three offspring whilst the other two travel free of charge.

She doesn't seem to care about any disabled passengers unable to be accommodated due to their space being cluttered by her and her brood. They don't have a choice about their disability whilst Ms Wilson seems to have entered willingly into parenthood.

It is Ms Wilson's irresponsible fecundity which is at fault, not the policy of the publicly owned transport operator. Why should the rest of us have to be inconvenienced by (and ultimately pay for in higher fares) her selfish lifechoice (or lack of self control)?

Sincerely,

John Eoin Douglas
