LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Dear Sir,

DOUBLE STANDARDS

Maureen Moore, Chief Executive of ASH, says ("Better for society in long run") that anti-smoking legislation will help to protect all Scots - smokers and non-smokers alike - from unwanted exposure to a removable carcinogen and could also show the next generation a way to avoid the tobacco addiction trap.

If legal compulsion is such a good thing, why does she not take a similar line in her work with PHACE Scotland (Project for HIV/AIDS Care and Education) by pressing for the criminalisation of unsafe sex?

Sincerely,

John Eoin Douglas
